Guy Wolverson

Guy Wolverson
Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon, BVSc(Hons) MRCVS

Guy is one of the Clinical Directors and consults at our Salisbury surgery. His special interests include cardiology and internal medicine.

He lives in Salisbury with his three daughters and their trio of Springer Spaniels; Treacle, Chillie and Darcie who he is often seen out running with!

Guy completed a 29 mile cross country marathon in March in Wiltshire & then a 46 mile ultra marathon running from The Lizard to Lands End with his dogs in June 2017. He is climbing Kilimanjaro in August 2017 with his three daughters.

Alice graduated with Honours degree in Adult Nursing from Oxford she branches out this year & is now working in the Neurosurgical Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. She is going to start her masters degree study later this year.

Eleanor took her finals at Churchill College Cambridge this year and is planning to stay and take a masters degree in her 4th year.

Millie took her GCSE's this year and is hoping to go to South Wilts.

Guys partner Emma a senior Health Care Assistant at a local GP practice, has passed her Access course at Salisbury College with distinction and will be starting at Bournemouth University in September on the Adult Nursing Course in order to eventually fulfil her ambition of becoming an Advanced Nurse Practitioner in the same GP practice. Emma is also training to run her first cross country half marathon with her dog Pip in October in Suffolk.

Kimberly Evans

Kimberly Evans
Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon, BVSc MRCVS

Kimberly is one of the Clinical Directors and works part time at the Salisbury and Amesbury surgeries.

She has a particular interest in soft tissue surgery. She has two chickens and two cats.

Anna Graham

Anna Graham
Veterinary Surgeon, BVSC BSC(Hons) MRCVS

Anna graduated from Liverpool university in 2008 and moved to the Isle of Wight to work in mixed practice shortly afterwards.

She then moved to Salisbury and joined the team and Avon Lodge Vets. Anna enjoys all aspects of small animal practice and has a particular interest in surgery.

Kevin Watts

Kevin Watts
Veterinary Surgeon, BSc(Hons) BVetMed CertVD MRCVS

Kevin consults at all surgeries. He holds a certificate in veterinary dermatology and accepts internal and external skin referrals. He also has an interest in internal medicine.

Kevin owns a Labrador called Barley, and two cats; Chess and Scrabble. Outside of work he enjoys mountain biking, walking and reading.

Vicky Simons

Veterinary Surgeon, BVSC MRCVS

We would like to welcome Vicky Simons a new veterinary surgeon to the Avon Lodge Team. Vicky qualified from the Royal College, London in July 2015 & spent her first year in practice completing an internship at Endell Equine Hospital.

Vicky’s main interests are imaging & soft tissue surgery & is now very much enjoying the challenge of small animal practice where she hopes to develop her skills & looks forward to meeting all our lovely clients.

Vicky’s main hobbies include horse riding (riding out racehorses for local trainer Seamus Mullins), going exploring on her motorbike, running, triathlons, climbing & any other sport she can try, you won’t see her sitting down for long!

Liz Forbes

Liz Forbes
Veterinary Surgeon, BVSC MRCVS

Liz graduated from the RVC in 1992, & after a couple of years in mixed practice, settled in for the next 20 years with the RSPCA. Based at both the Putney Animal Hospital & the Southampton Clinic, the caseload was extremely varied with welfare cases alongside everyday ailments & nail clips.

She enjoys all aspects of her work but particularly enjoys trauma cases & hedgehogs. Outside work she plays hockey for Romsey (the old lady of the team), jogs & rambles the New Forest with her rescue lurcher Scout, & her family.

Helen Nashwalder

Head Nurse, RVN

Helen is our Head Nurse, having completed all of her training with us. She is particularly interested in weight management and wound care.

She has two dogs; Bailey and Murphy, who keep her busy both at home with long walks, and at work with their tendency to break nails!

Stephanie Green

Stephanie Green
Vet Nurse, RVN

Stephanie qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2001. She has gained lots of experience and learnt many different disciplines working for other small animal practices up until now, including a referral practice for the past four years where she mainly worked with Oncology patients.

She also has a certificate in dentistry and an assessor qualification.
In her spare time she enjoys walking her Bernese Mountain dog called “Wellie”, swimming, socialising with friends & family.

Jane Legg

Jane Legg
Vet Nurse, RVN

Jane has a nursing certificate in dental care and runs dental clinics at the Salisbury surgery.
She has a lovely yellow Labrador who she enjoys running with, as well as two cats who she rescued as kittens and a recently acquired Guinea Pig called Joe.
She plays for a local rugby club and recently completed the Fordingbridge 10K.

Jo holds an NVQ Level 2 in Animal Basic Care.

She is an invaluable member of the team ensuring kennels and consulting rooms are clean and presentable both to you and your pets! She has two cats and enjoys mountain biking and walking.

Larna Russell

Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Larna started her career as a trainee veterinary nurse in 2016 and is looking forward to the training and is excited for the future.

She loves being around all sorts of animals and has her own black Labrador.

Emily Glover

Emily Glover
Trainee Nurse

Emily started her veterinary Nurse training in January 2017 & studies at Lynwood school of veterinary nursing. She is excited to progress with both her practical & theoretical training.
Emily has six dogs - two Bernese Mountain Dogs, two Golden Retrievers, a Cockerpoo & a Border terrier who all keep her very active!
She lives in the New Forest & enjoys walking her dogs, clay shooting & pole fitness.
